what i wish for..

crap. i was sleeping like super early for the past few days (against my will)
and today i'm unable to sleep as much as i should, though it's already half past three in the morning.

reveries of an insomniac

she said, "in my world, we tread stars and burn with a fierce kind of light,
and see the world in a kaleidoscope of colours"

and when the aquarium cracks, i won't flounder cos dreams exist separate from the planes of physical reality.

a yearning..

She's taking her time making up the reasons
To justify all the hurt inside
Guess she knows from the smiles and the look in their eyes
Everyone's got a theory about the bitter one
They're saying mama never loved her much and daddy never keeps in touch
That's why she shies away from human affection
But somewhere in a private place
She packs her bags for outer space
And now she's waiting for the right kind of pilot to come (and she'll say to him) She's saying

[Chorus]
I would fly you to the moon and back
If you'll be if you'll be my baby
Got a ticket for a world where we belong
So would you be my baby Ooh-ooh

She can't remember a time when she felt needed
If love was red then she was colour-blind
All her friends they've been tried for treason
And crimes that were never defined
She's saying Love is like a barren place, and reaching out for human faith is
Is like a journey I just don't have a map for
So baby gonna take a dive and push the shift to overdrive
Send a signal that she's hanging all her hopes on the stars (What a pleasant dream) just saying

[Chorus x2]

Mamma never loved her much and daddy never keeps in touch
That's why she shies away from human affection
But somewhere in a private place
She packs her bags for outer space
And now she's waiting for the right kind of pilot to come (and she'll say to him) She's saying

[Chorus x2]

the reason why it all started.. AGAIN.

well.. i am back to blogging.
largely because i realised i didn't need FB to network as much nowadays.
people share the best side of themselves, pictures by girls are (> 80%) taken at that golden angle which makes their eyes pop, their chins look smaller, and their assets juicier. airheads.
ow. that hurt my pride.

don't know about the guys though..

what i do notice for guys?  .. is that their FB portrait, is rarely ever a picture of them in the flesh (i'm talkin about those shy asian guys here)
it starts off with a concept. 'coolness' for example.
there are cars, symbols representing macho-ism, intelligence (some school crest, replete with motto), and the "hey bros, i've got a GIRL".

i guess it's a fake sense of security, this FB. the feeling of engaging in an activity that 'everyone else' engages in, the whole concept of social acceptance ("what... you've NO facebook??!") ... and all that crap.
if i need networking i guess i'll go join some niche networking circle that boasts a civilisation closer to the kinda gorilla i'm seeking.

besides, some people i don't know snoop around for info so that they can tell other people about someone they don't know, and make it a CONVERSATION. magnifique.

well, enough of the digression. i had wanted to explain why i'm back with all my nonsense.
it's because of the clip embedded above ---  an honest, brilliant communication that inspired.

how that whiff of inspiration led to the eventual reopening of my blog, has got to do with some degree of realisation that too much of my time was spent sending and receiving virtual gifts, and of the fact that i couldn't be as candid as i would have liked to while penning down my thoughts on FB.

end of train of thought.

Is a person's height that important?

well.. here are the respective heights of some famous people:

1. 拿破崙 napoleon 165,
2. 鄧小平 deng xiao ping 157,
3. 列寧 lennin 164,
4. 斯大林 stalin 162,
5. 普京 putin 170,
6. 亞歷山大大帝 alexander the great 150,

some people around me keep judging people largely based on appearance. now, if it is regarding someone's height, or any other trait that can't be 'improved upon' by human effort, i'll take a look at them and not even bother to say the words "fuck off".

honestly, most people that DO judge others by appearance.. don't look all that fine themselves.
